Sunday Sesh | theSlacks

Sunday 6th June | 4:00pm - 6:00pm

FREE ENTRY

It's a long weekend, and what better way celebrate a sleep in on a Monday than with a Sunday Sesh, courtesy of Shining Peak Brewing and theSlacks!

Three on the Tree and one on the Keys

Three Slacks and a close collab will play for you some new Slack songs and many Slacks classics with a seasoning of songs the lads all loved coming up into adulthood.
Best known for antipodean-pop hits, Big Aroha and Yeah Nah, theSlacks are all over the folk-rock-pop spectrum, delivering danceable rhythms, joyful indie-pop and a refreshingly real vibe that resonates with questing minds in these testing times.

Sunday Sesh | O Juliet

Sunday 20th June | 4:00pm - 6:00pm

FREE ENTRY

Looking for a chill Sunday afternoon activity? Shining Peak Brewing has the answer. Come down and enjoy the beautiful sounds of O Juliet while enjoying a pint of the cold stuff and some kai. Sunday doesn't get much better.

Founded by songwriter Juliet McLean the band O Juliet includes longtime collaborators and tour-mates Rob Ju 0n drums and Hamish Cameron playing bass. Combined they form a tasty, relaxing trio only slightly salty and pithier.

"A misty blend of pure, heartfelt lyricism cut against unexpected twists and twilight stylings. Blurred edges and a gentle sense of things not being quite as they first appear. A reward for the curious and the listener who likes to decide for themselves—not for the spoon feeders!”
-Sam Johnson, Producer and Sound Engineer, Rhythm Ace Studio

O Juliet will be performing songs from their latest album “Unlash the Boats” as well as older favourites.
