The 5% Project
At Shining Peak we’re strong believers that every business should have a social mission at its core. Our mission is for our beer to make the world a better place.
Every month 5% of our beer revenues from our venues, are donated to a different local Taranaki organisation. Not profits…… revenues, that’s approximately 30 to 50% of our venue’s profit – we give away to local organisations each and every month. No terms and conditions, no small print – we just put the money straight into the back pockets of important local organisations and charities here in Taranaki.

LEAD Youth Conference
Your business could help support our young leaders in NZ. We know that our province here in Taranaki and around Aotearoa is flourishing with the potential of young leaders and amazing rangatahi. It is our hope that by providing inspirational events like the Taranaki LEAD Youth Conference we will tap into this incredible potential. Bringing our ākonga together celebrating aspirational thinking and action we aim to lift ourselves and our community.
In the rapidly evolving world we live in, the empowerment and development of young leaders are crucial for fostering innovative solutions and sustainable futures. The Taranaki LEAD Youth Conference 2024, is a student leadership conference designed to inspire and cultivate the leadership skills of our rangatahi. This initiative aims to bring together students from diverse backgrounds to engage in a day of dynamic speakers, entertainment, and powerful pre-recorded short video clips, each carrying key messages of empowerment, resilience, and innovation.
Objectives
- Inspire Leadership: To motivate and inspire students by exposing them to diverse leadership models and stories of resilience.
- Cultivate Skills: To provide practical leadership tools and skills development through interactive workshops and speeches.
- Promote Diversity: To celebrate the diverse cultures and backgrounds of our Tamariki, ensuring a wide range of perspectives and experiences are shared.
- Foster Networking: To create opportunities for students to network with peers and leaders, encouraging collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
