The 5% Project
At Shining Peak we’re strong believers that every business should have a social mission at its core. Our mission is for our beer to make the world a better place.
Every month 5% of our beer revenues from our venues, are donated to a different local Taranaki organisation. Not profits…… revenues, that’s approximately 30 to 50% of our venue’s profit – we give away to local organisations each and every month. No terms and conditions, no small print – we just put the money straight into the back pockets of important local organisations and charities here in Taranaki.
Drink Beer, Do Good.
NP Montessori Pre-School
NP Montessori pre-school has supported the development of thousands of local children enabling them to aspire to their full potential. The school has always been community driven and a non for-profit entity, they exist because of the commitment of so many.
Our current playground, despite its charm and history of over 25 years, suffers from poor drainage that turns playtime into a splashy adventure every time it rains. The new drainage plan aims to completely re-engineer how water is managed in the play area. This means no more mud pies or slippery spots, just a clean, dry, and safer space for our children to enjoy.
The new playground will feature interactive and imaginative play structures that foster creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. These elements will be carefully designed to align with Montessori principles. Were possible we are committed to incorporating eco-friendly and sustainable design elements that encourage an appreciation for nature and the environment.
Your support would contribute significantly to a comprehensive new drainage plan to eliminate flooding. This isn't just about addressing puddles—though fewer soggy socks would be fantastic!—it's about creating a safer, durable, and enjoyable play space that stands the test of time and weather.
The Shinning Peak 5% project will bring us closer to realizing this dream. Your contribution will help fund the new drainage plan, ensuring a safer, drier, and more enjoyable playground. It will also support the construction of innovative play structures and the integration of eco-friendly features, enhancing the overall happiness and development of our children.
